about me

Hello, my name is Gemma White (trading as Gemma Clark). I am a qualified teacher, with experience teaching a variety of subjects including Maths, English and creative arts to students with learning disabilities, as well as those who struggle in school.

I have worked with several students who have lost confidence in different subjects, so I always produce exciting and creative lessons to engage students. Before any lessons start, I always like to ask students what they love doing as hobbies – it could be they love video games, horse riding, cooking, or even learning fun facts – which are then incorporated into our lessons. This really helps enhance student engagement and confidence when learning, particularly maths and English.

I have experience working with students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, ADHD, autism, mental health and anxiety.

I have been tutoring for over three years and absolutely love it! I really enjoy watching my students flourish, particularly when they have had little confidence in the subject. I also have a First Class Honours Degree in Creative Media Practice, specialising in photography, and a PGCE (Art, Design and Media).

I have worked as a freelance photographer for over 10 years. As well as being a photographer, I also teach 1:1 and group sessions in Photography, Photoshop and Lightroom, at every level.

If you have any questions about anything, I am more than happy to answer them for you.
